#993 Sweet Nothing – Meeting My Old School Teacher

#993 Sweet Nothing – Meeting my favourite school teacher I haven’t seen for 20 years and reminiscing about the good ole days.

Talk about blast from the past. I’ll never forget Mrs F. who taught us Maths because I’ve always thought she was way too glamorous to be a Maths teacher and also she took us ski-ing one Easter. The funny thing about this ski trip was that I could not stop and never really got to grips with the slopes. So as my classmates waited patiently mid-slope, I’d be zooming down and call out see you at the bottom of the slope. I wasn’t trying to show off, I just couldn’t stop. Eventually after many exasperated chats from Mrs F, she insisted that we try to meet mid-slope. So I ended up falling on my side everytime I wanted to stop. The French locals saw me in distress and ran to me everytime I fell. I waved and said ‘Don’t worry, That’s how I stop!’. They didn’t understand and continued to try to help me up. I just shook my head and said no. If I got up, I’d be rolling down the slope again.

So Mrs F. visited Sweet Mandarin tonight and wow, it was amazing to see her and catch up. She’s still at my old school, still teaching Maths. But she still remembered me and that ski trip!.

So Mrs F makes #993 Sweet Nothing!
